Gittleson Angus is owned and operated by Don and Kim Gittleson with their two sons Lee and Dave and one grandson Eisten.  The cattle are on 11,000 acres in Walden, CO.  The cattle range between 8200 ft and 10,000 ff.  It is a rugged high desert terrain where the cattle are forced to travel for food and water.  Easy fleshing cattle with good feet and sound legs tend to be the only type of cattle that don't struggle in this or any terrain.

Both our herd and ourselves have been greatly influenced by Gary and Gloria Parker with Shamrock Angus.  Most of our cattle have Shamrock Angus influence somewhere in their pedigree and we still A.I. to Shamrock bulls.  We have been breeding A.I. for over 25 years using a variety of bulls that we believe will work in our country.  We try to breed each cow to the bull that suits her best instead of just breeding them all to a few bulls that happen to be popular at the time.
